Burdens

I feel heavy and no longer steady

My mind drifts into the abyss

I look down to see the burden that lays beneath me

I can’t move, I am sinking and no longer free

Someone help me!

As I struggle my body grows weak

I look up as the sun begins to rise and peak

This journey has taken every part of me

Suddenly I hear whispers in my ear

Saying “ you are stronger than you allow yourself to appear

Struggle no more and realize you are pure at your core

Once you realize that you have what it takes to lift these burdens that weighs down your strength
